Familiar face at care home calls it a day

A POPULAR admin worker at a care home has been given a warm send-off on her retirement by colleagues and patients.

Christine Walker had worked at Broom Lane Care Home for almost 20 years.

Area manager Matthew Binns said: “Christine Walker has been the face of Broom Lane for all these years, enjoying meeting and greeting visitors and being around our lovely residents.

“A flurry of gifts has been submitted by the directors, the staff and residents and their families to give Christine a warm send off to enjoy her retirement.

“We all want to wish her well for the future and really say a big thank you for all her hard work and dedication.”
