Covid deaths move over 500
THE total number of Covid-related deaths at Rotherham Hospital has now topped 500.
A spokesperson for The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, said as of Wednesday, the hospital was treating 102 coronavirus inpatients — down two from last week — ten of whom were in critical care.
Within the last week, there have been 17 new Covid-19 deaths at the hospital, bringing the total total figure to 512 since the start of the pandemic.

Hide AdAs of Sunday, Rotherham’s Covid-19 infection rate was 270.5 per 100,000 people — down five per cent from the previous week.
So far, 2,153 Covid-positive inpatients have been treated at the hospital since the pandemic began and 1,454 have been safely discharged.
