Children’s public health nursing service to continue

A “VITAL” service for children and families will continue to be delivered by the trust running Rotherham Hospital after its renewal bid was agreed by Rotherham Council.

Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust will carry on providing the children’s public health nursing service after it was successful through an open tender process previously agreed by RMBC’s cabinet.

The current service was tendered and awarded to TRFT in 2016, and the contract needed to be renewed by April 2023.

The service is mainly staffed by health visitors and school nurses but also includes a wider supporting workforce.
