Worried about winter woes? There’s an NHS talking therapies service in Rotherham that could make a difference.

During winter, the darker nights, colder weather and holiday season can all have an impact on our mental wellbeing. We might find that we feel low in mood, overwhelmed, anxious and worry more.

NHS Rotherham Talking Therapies can you help you tackle these problems! The service ,run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH), offers free support for people over 18 with common mental health problems like stress, anxiety and depression. You can see one of the clinicians for face-to-face, confidential appointments, or do this over the telephone, video or text message in the comfort of your own home. They can help give you tips and techniques to reduce stress, improve your mood and feel more in control of your worries.

If you’re finding work to be a source of stress, they also have a team of employment advisors who can help you to stay in work, return to work or find a job.

Jemma Dixon, Team Manager at NHS Rotherham Talking Therapies is encouraging people with a new year’s resolution to improve their wellbeing to get in touch: “The build up to Christmas can feel a lot of pressure and stress and then an anti-climax when January hits.
