Brick thrown through train window in Goldthorpe
British Transport Police have issued an appeal for help from the public in tracking down the trio of teenagers, one of whom threw the object at the Plymouth to Leeds service as it passed under the bridge at Goldthorpe station.
Investigating officer, PC Sandra Murray, said that the train’s windscreen had been damaged in the incident at around 6.30pm on July 29.

Hide AdShe said that the driver and passengers were “fortunate” to escape without injury, adding: “The consequences could have been far worse.
“This was an extremely foolish and dangerous act, which put the driver and passengers on the train in danger.
“Patrols have now been stepped up in the area to catch and deter any vandals from carrying out this type of extremely dangerous crime.”
BTP now want to trace all three boys seen standing on the station bridge at the time of the incident.
They are believed to be aged between 13 and 15.
One of the boys was wearing a red chequered top.

Hide AdPC Murray added: “If anyone knows who is responsible, or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, then I would urge you to get in touch.”
