Titans' injury problems mount up

THE injury-hit Titans go to Ealing this weekend with coach Justin Burnell saying: “We've just got to get on with it.”

Already hit heavily by a number of big-name casualties, Rotherham had hooker Charlie Maddison and centre Cameron Hudson stretchered off with serious ankle injuries in last weekend's thrilling late victory over Cornish Pirates.

Hudson is out for the season and Maddison for a couple of months, joining a treatment room that already includes skipper Joe Barker, Charlie Foley and Jack Hayes.

“We have 16 unavailable for this weekend out of our squad of 34,” said Burnell. “It's not a healthy number of players to be missing but unfortunately that's life and we have to get on with it.”

Ealing are third in the Championship and Burnell knows they will be a tough proposition on their plastic pitch.

“It's no easy task but we have a good spirit in the camp and a great work ethic and anything can happen. We're in a good place and we're going there to pick up some points.”

Kick-off 3pm.
