The awards — now in their sixth year — celebrate the hard work of the 40 tenants and residents associations linked to RotherFed.

Member development officer Alan Goy said: “TARAs work towards different goals. Some want to build greater community spirit and ensure no-one is left feeling isolated, some are working to reduce antisocial behaviour.

“Other TARAs are trying to improve the health and well-being of the community, or improve community safety.

“The awards are the perfect chance to recognise their fantastic work, whatever their aims.”

The awards take place on Tuesday, June 11 at Springwell Gardens Community Centre beginning with a barbecue at 4.30pm.
