Labour retain PCC role
The parish priest and self-declared "community champion" came top of a poll which attracted just 14.9 percent of voters.
Dr Billings amassed 74,060 votes — just over 50 percent of all ballots cast. Runner-up Jack Clarkson, the Ukip candidate, won 46,883 votes (29 percent).

Hide AdConservative candidate Ian Walker and English Democrat David Allen won 18,536 (13 percent) and 8,583 (six percent) respectively.
A further 2,299 ballots were deliberately or accidentally spoiled. Ukip called for a recount of votes, but the request was denied.
Twitter commentators have blasted the low turn-out, with many calling for the PCC position to be scrapped altogether.
