Appeal after Dinnington attack

AN appeal for help has been made by police after a teenager with Asperger’s Syndrome was assaulted in Dinnington.

The incident happened at the Ukraine Club on Barley Croft Lane on May 11 at about 12.30am.

The 17-year-old was knocked to the ground and sustained injuries to his face after being hit by a man.

The assailant is described as white, of thin build, aged 25-30, with gingery-blonde spiked hair who was wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt.

The man punched the teenager several times in an unprovoked attack after the 17-year-old began talking to three men near the club’s pool table.

The teenager told police that the assailant claimed to be a cage fighter.

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to called South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 39 of Sunday May 11.
