International honour for Rotherham school

WALES High School has been recognised for outstanding work in bringing the world into the classroom.

The International School Award rewards efforts to educate children on global matters, such as with partner schools overseas.

Gareth Hughes, the school’s international dimension co-ordinator, said: “It is an honour to be given this award which reflects the hard work of everyone in the school.”

Wales High, on Storth Lane in Kiveton Park, has long-standing links with schools in Paraguay and France.
