Fire crews battle Thurcroft and Dinnington blazes

FIREFIGHTERS attended a pair of blazes in Rotherham on Monday evening.

One crew from Rotherham station responded at around 8.20pm on Monday to a skip fire on Laughton Road, Dinnington.

They used hose reels to put out the fire, which is thought to have been started accidentally.

Another crew from Maltby station attended a fire on Acre Close, Thurcroft, at around 11.10pm the same night.

The team tackled burning trees on waste ground, thought to have been deliberately set alight.

They left the scene at around 12.30am, having used a hose reel to put out the fire.
