Chance to have your say on 15 years of planning

CONSULTATION starts next week on the proposed sites that will form Rotherham’s planning blueprint for the next 15 years.

For a six-week period from next Monday, the public will be able to see where new residential and industrial developments can be considered in the borough.

The public and other interested parties will be asked for their views on what is the latest version of the Sites and Policies document.

The document, which reflects the feedback from last year's consultation, will be available to view on the council’s website, as well as in hard copy form in local libraries and customer service centres.

There will also be four public drop-in sessions on the following dates from 2pm until 7pm:

Monday, November 3 — Rawmarsh High Street Centre

Thursday, November 6 — Dinnington Resource Centre

Thursday, November 13 — Wickersley Community Centre

Friday, November 14 — myplace Centre, Eastwood.

The publication of the Sites and Policies document was approved by the authority’s Cabinet on September 24, and is the latest marker in the lengthy plan to get a Local Plan formally adopted.
