Wath man punched and injured outside own home

A MAN was punched and injured during a confrontation with a group of youths outside his Wath home.

The 53-year-old went to investigate after an egg hit his window and was met by 20-30 youths on Sandygate on Tuesday November 4.

The man is believed to have chased two of the group off his property before being confronted by a larger group and was allegedly repeatedly punched to the head and body.

The man sustained bruising, cuts and broken bones that required hospital treatment. The group of both males and females, aged approximately 14 to 17 had fled the scene before police arrived.
