Witness appeal after motorcyclist suffers injuries

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist sustained serious head injuries in a one-vehicle incident.

The 31-year-old man from Catcliffe was riding a miniature motorbike along Victoria Street when he left the road and rode on a grassed area.

When he returned to the road he lost control and fell off the bike. He was taken to Northern General Hospital after the incident, which occurred at around 7pm on Friday, June 14.

Police urge anyone who witnessed the collision or may have information as to the location of the motorbike are urged to contact police on 101.
