Murphy relishing Titans challenge

TITANS believe they’ve snapped up a star in the making after 24-year-old Dallan Murphy this week signed from Queensland Reds.

The powerful fly-half, who has played four times for the Reds, is one of a raft of players to have put pen to paper at Clifton Lane as Lee Blackett’s rebuilding job continues.

Rotherham have also brought in the exciting Michael Keating from Doncaster and his fellow Irishman Ali Birch.

Murphy and Keating are seen as top quality acquisitions, with the former rated by Queensland coach Ewen McKenzie as the club’s best ball player outside Wallabies star Quade Cooper.

Said Murphy: “Rotherham has a great history of performing well, and it's very exciting for me to join such an established team with a rich history. I'm very excited to come under the guidance of Lee Blackett; his philosophy on rugby is very similar to mine. This is a major reason why I believe Rotherham was such a quality fit for me."
