Car smashes into lamppost in Conisbrough
A TAXI driver was lucky to escape unhurt after his car smashed into a lamppost.
The accident happened on Doncaster Road at Conisbrough at 12.30pm today.
Eyewitness Andy Kershaw, who saw the wreckage, said the crash happened in rainy and windy conditions.
He added: “The driver said his brakes failed and the wind blew him into the tree.”
