Kimberworth blaze prompts fire service trees warning

SOUTH Yorkshire Fire & Rescue has warned residents to keep bonfires from trees and buildings after a blaze in Kimberworth Park.

Crews were called to Monks Close when a garden fire spread to conifers at about 9pm on Wednesday.

They also attended pallets and timber set alight by arsonists at a reclamation yard in Psalters Lane, Holmes, at 8pm.

And Dearne station went to a deliberate rubbish fire at a building site on Brampton Road, West Melton.
