Woman charged with child sexual exploitation offences

ANOTHER woman has been charged with child sexual exploitation offences.

Shelley Davies (40) has been charged with conspiracy to procure a child to become a common prostitute and unlawful imprisonment.

The offences relate to alleged incidents in Rotherham between 1993 and 1995.

She is also jointly charged with conspiracy to rape alongside Qurban Ali (52), Karen MacGregor (58) and 40-year-old Arshid Hussain (40).

Majid Bostan (37) has been charged with indecent assault.

MacGregor and Ali are also jointly charged with conspiracy to rape.

Hussain has previously been charged with 45 offences relating to child sexual exploitation in Rotherham, has also been jointly charged with conspiracy to rape.

They have all been bailed to appear before Rotherham Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

All five were arrested as part of Operation Clover, a joint investigation by South Yorkshire Police in partnership with Rotherham Borough Council and the Crown Prosecution Service.

South Yorkshire Police said it has taken the decision not to publish the addresses of the defendants.
