Rotherham drug pusher forced to cough up £1,300

ROTHERHAM’S Money Laundering Team secured a forfeit of £1,300 from a convicted drug dealer.

It followed a search warrant in Broom last August when the cash — plus cocaine and crack cocaine — was uncovered.

Marcus Elomari (21), of Lymister Avenue, was convicted of supplying class A drugs and jailed for 18 months at Sheffield Crown Court in October.

Police secured the cash forfeit through the Proceeds of Crime Act at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court.

Det Con Andy Lakeland said: “This is an excellent example of how the South Yorkshire Police money laundering teams are dedicated to pursuing criminals who profit from other people’s misery by pedalling drugs to them.”
