Rotherham rocked by new child abuse claims

NEW claims have emerged of child sex abuse in Rotherham.

A reports in The Times newspaper said a police officer and two councillors had been accused of having sex with victims of the town’s CSE scandal.

The police officer, was also said to have regularly passed information to abusers targeting vulnerable children for sex, while another officer was accused of neglect in his duty because he allegedly failed to take appropriate action after receiving intelligence about his colleague's conduct.

The claims were said to be being assessed by the Independent Police Complaints Commission and the National Crime Agency.
