Reporter behind sex grooming revelations to go before MPs

A JOURNALIST who spent two years investigating sexual exploitation in Rotherham will give evidence to MPs.

Times reporter Andrew Norfolk will appear before the Home Affairs Select Committee on Tuesday .

Mr Norfolk — whose coverage in September highlighted the plight of ignored victims — will be asked about his lengthy investigation.

Committee chairman Keith Vaz said: “His work has started a long overdue public discussion on the attitudes towards the victims of child sexual exploitation which we hope will mean that failures like those seen in Rochdale and Rotherham won’t happen again.”
