Dinnington students' bumper results haul

DINNINGTON Comprehensive School displayed a bumper crop of top GCSE results this morning.

Students achieved the best grades in the school’s history with 80 percent achieving five exams at A* to C grade.

An impressive 64 percent achieved the top grades with English and maths.

High scorer Molly Sadler achieved 10 A* and one A grade. Classmate Lauren Satur earned nine at A* and two at A.

Arianne Scott was awarded nine A* and one A, while colleague Olivia Tweed earned eight A* and three A grades.

Alex Summerbell scored eight A* and two A grades, making the most progress of any Dinnington student from his primary school days.

David Barringer achieved a respectable seven A* grades, two A grades and a distinction.

Students in English performed especially well, with 80 per cent gaining an A* to C as results fell nationally.

Performance in maths was also above average, with 73 per cent achieving A* to C in that subject.
