Wilson's Indy delight
The Rotherham-born racer was in the thick of one of the most breathtaking races in Indy 500 history which at one point saw the top 25 cars covered by less than ten seconds at speeds of up to a jaw-dropping 226mph.
Wilson, driving for Dale Coyle Racing, lost time early in the race with blistered tyres but was soon back in the leading back as the lead changed an atonishing 68 times amond 14 drivers - compared to the Monaco Grand Prix on the same day when Nico Rosberg led from start to finish.

Hide AdBraziliam Tony Kaanan took the win but Wilson was delighted with his own performance in the most testing of conditions.
“I wouldn’t be so bold as to say I could have won but I had a lot of fun and the whole race was pretty cool from where I was sat,” he said.
