Max’s song offer to students

YOUNG musician Max Restaino has worked alongside some of the biggest names around.

But he took time out from his busy working life to chat to Rotherham students.

The 18-year-old singer-songwriter, who plays the piano and saxophone, visited Wingfield Academy to fill pupils in on a career which has seen him performing alongside the likes of Gary Barlow, Olly Murs, Geri Halliwell, Donny Osmond and Peter Kay.

Max, who is mentored by Elliot Kennedy, of Sheffield’s Steelworks Studio, said: “I want to inspire other young children to pick up an instrument and write a song to send to me.

“At the end of the tour I will pick one song to record professionally in the studio for the student who wrote it to keep.”

Max, whose drop-in session was part of a national schools tour, has been doing an apprenticeship at the Steelworks Studio and recently released his debut single called Obvious.
