Cancer charity’s appeal thanks

Thanks to the generosity of residents, The Christmas Star Appeal has raised more than £23,000, which will help the charity fund world-class cancer research and invest in cancer treatments to give families the chance of a brighter future.

As a thank you for supporting the appeal, supporters have been sent a special silver star Christmas tree decoration.

Helen Gentle, fundraiser at Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity said: “We have been overwhelmed by the fantastic response to our Christmas Star Appeal and are extremely grateful to everyone who has supported it.

“The funds raised will make a big difference to cancer patients in this area and will give more families the chance of spending many more magical Christmases together.

“From all of us at the charity we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.”
