Appeal for new Rotherham foster carers

A DROP-in event is being held tonight for anyone thinking about becoming a foster carer.

Rotherham’s Foster Care Fortnight runs until May 25 and Rotherham’s Fostering Team will be at Kiddicare between 6pm and 8pm tonight.

Rotherham Borough Council is on the lookout for more families, couples, and single people who can provide a stable supportive environment for all looked after children.

This year, they are looking particularly to recruit carers for older children, sibling groups, children with disabilities, and children from minority ethnic backgrounds.

All are welcome to next week’s event come and chat to members of the Fostering Team, as well as existing foster carers

Anyone over 21 can apply to become a foster carer, there is no upper age limit and carers can come from any racial, ethnic or religious background and applications from single people are also welcome.
