Firefighters called to flooded street

FIRE crews pumped water from a flooded street during Wednesday night’s downpour.

They spent about an hour at St Ann’s Road in Rotherham after being called out at 10.20pm.

Firefighters used the fire engine to pump water from the road back into the drains.

They were also called to a deliberate car fire on Alpha Road, East Dene, at 2.30am on Thursday but a neighbour had already managed to put out the flames.
