Wath students prepare to host masquerade ball

LEISURE students will put their mettle to the test when they host a huge masquerade ball for cancer research.

Learners studying for foundation degrees in travel and tourism at Dearne Valley College are organising the winter-themed bash to raise money for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.

The evening will feature a performance by Rotherham Dance School and Indie band Ashby.

Travel student Michael Robson said: “We are all excited to practise the skills we have gained by planning this wonderful winter masquerade night.

“It is extra special because the money we make will all be donated to the charity.”

The event takes place on Tuesday, December 3 at Montgomery Hall in Wath-upon-Dearne.

Tickets will cost £6 for over-16s and £3 for under-16s. The price includes a buffet and a strip of raffle tickets.
