M1 disruption for two more years

MOTORISTS using the M1 face disruption and speed limits for almost two more years.

The Highways Agency has revealed that restrictions will remain in place between junctions 28 and 35a, with the exception of the stretch between junctions 31 and 32, until December 2016.

It is to allow the introduction of “smart motorway”, which would see the hard shoulder scrapped.
