Sex assaults: Man appears in court

THE CASE of a 44-year-old man charged with 14 sexual assaults on young girls dating back more than 20 years, was heard before magistrates in Rotherham on Tuesday.

Lee Wayne Crutchley, of Victoria Street in Dinnington, is charged with three counts of rape, two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl aged under 13, seven counts of indecent assault and two counts of assault by penetration.

He is also charged with production of cannabis.

Crutchley appeared before Magistrates in Rotherham on Thursday when he entered no plea and was granted bail.

He will next appear before Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday, January 2.
