KIERAN Agard struck twice as Rotherham United stunned League One promotion rivals Brentford 3-0 at the New York Stadium.

The top scorer put the Millers two up by half time and sub Haris Vuckic added the third in stoppage time to complete a great night.

The first goal came on 13 minutes when Agard stroked home from the penalty spot after James Tavernier had been brought down by Alan Judge.

Tavernier also clobbered the post from a free-kick before Agard doubled the advantage late in the half, placing a shot beyond the reach of goalkeeper David Button from Nicky Adams’ tee-up. It took the striker’s goals tally for the season to 20.

Rotherham weathered Brentford’s pressure in the second half and might even have added to their lead through Agard, Alex Revell and Adams before Vuckic scored from close range to finish it.

The win stretched the Millers’ unbeaten run to 14 games.
