VIDEO: Gary Barlow serenades lucky nurse

LIZ Willey has become the envy of millions of women worldwide after she got up close and personal with pop sensation Gary Barlow.

The Kimberworth Park nurse was hand-picked by the Take That frontman to join him on stage where he serenaded her with his biggest ballad A Million Love Songs.

Liz was at the Manchester Arena on Monday with her mum Diane Ford, and sister Stephanie Willey, to watch her idol on his solo tour.

And the 28-year-old thought she couldn’t get any closer to the heartthrob than her 11th row seat...but she was wrong.

Ecstatic Liz said: “I was holding a banner which said ‘Can I have a sister selfie?’ and wearing a bright red dress, and he pointed me out to his bodyguard.”

Liz said she saw Gary perform in Leeds just a few days earlier and knew he picked someone out of the crowd as part of the show, so the trio made sure they were in eye-catching sparkly dresses.

The tactical outfits paid off.

Liz, who also has tickets to see Gary at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena on Sunday night, said: “He took my hand and sat me down near the piano while he sang A Million Love Songs, and sang my name in the song. Then we had a slow dance.

“He was so lovely, he kept saying ‘Are you alright?’

“I was shaking, I thought I would start crying too, but it’s like it wasn’t even happening.

“People recognised me after it and were coming up to me saying ‘It’s Gary’s wife’.

“I just can’t believe it happened, I was up until 4am because I just couldn’t sleep. I’m still on cloud nine.

“That song has always been my favourite too, I’ve always said I want it as my wedding song.”

Liz, who first watched Gary live when she was ten-years-old, said her boyfriend Ben Taylor was not envious, and revealed that he is a Gary fan too.

“He’s always known Gary comes part and parcel with me,” she revealed.

“But it’s mission complete now, after this.”
