Pub patrons' kind gift to disabled girl

Drinkers at a pub surprised regular Paul Andrews (49) by sending him and six-year-old daughter Iona on holiday after she missed their annual family trip.

Iona, who was born with autism, was in Birmingham having brain surgery to try and cure her epilepsy.

A collection was held at the Fighting Cocks pub in Rawmarsh, raising enough money to send the family to Disneyland Paris.

Here Paul and Valerie (76), Iona's nannan, send heartfelt thanks to their kind-hearted neighbours.
