I'll fight on, says Scott

MILLERS chief Andy Scott says he is prepared to stand up and fight his way through the team's barren spell.

Boosted by a public show of support from the chairman, he takes his side to Dagenham and Redbridge tomorrow with a new signing winger Kieron Cadogan, in on loan from Crystal Palace until the end of the season.

But having collected just three points from the last four games and fresh from Saturday's limp defeat to Port Vale, there will be extra scrutiny on the result, something Scott accepts.

He said: "The chairman doesn't need to come out in the press and support me because I have conversations with him near enough every day.

"I'm hurting, especially after Saturday. I want to be a success here and the only way of doing that is to win football matches.

"As a manager, no-one is fire proof. It's a fickle business and everyone wants results. We go into these jobs with our eyes wide open.

"Do you sit down and let everyone trample all over you or accept failure or stand up and fight? I'll fight and in time we'll turn this around but I can't just say that, we've got to prove it on the pitch and get the points."
