‘Dangerous’ quad bike driver breaks girl’s leg

TWO teenage girls were hit by a man seen riding a quad bike dangerously which has left one of them with a broken leg.

Police are urging witnesses to come forward who may have seen the incident on Barnsley Road, Goldthorpe.

The 13-year-old girls were hit by the quad bike around 2pm on Friday, October 28.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “It is thought a man was riding a black and yellow coloured quad bike dangerously around the area before he hit the girls.

“One of the girls sustained a broken leg from the incident along with other minor injuries.”

A 24-year-old man was interviewed by police in relation to the incident and has been released pending further enquiries.
