Creative fun at Boston Castle

A FAMILY fun day at Boston Castle next week will feature map-making and magazine-making.

On Tuesday August 12, there will be a family fun day with Rotherham-based Grimm and Co, which includes two events divided into separate age groups.

For those aged nine and under there will be a map-making session from 11.15am and 12.30pm where little cartographers can sketch their ideas onto a huge chalk map of the castle grounds with an artist, make an old parchment map using ink and quills and keep their parchment closed with their very own wax seal.

For the over nines, there is a “zine workshop” between 1.15pm and 2.30pm, when budding journalists will be able to cut, stick, type, photograph, scan, doodle, design a mini-magazine about the castle.

The sessions are £3.50 per child. Parking is free.
