MALTBY REDWOOD: The headteacher’s first impressions are that the climate of learning is high with a calm and purposeful atmosphere in school and with children that are engaged in their learning. The school has welcomed three additional teachers – Mrs Stansfield (Willow), Miss Williams (Pine), Mr Williams (Elm). The school has recruited extra support staff in Mrs Vincent and Mrs Monks. As part of the collaborative partnerships that operate within the Maltby Learning Trust, the school has been able to secure a specialist, Mrs Folkes, to deliver Spanish to all children in Y2-6. The last Y6 cohort performed well in their SATs test last May. The school had positive results in Foundation Stage regarding Good Level of Development in Y1 phonics and in the Y2 SATs assessments.
