THORPE HESLEY VILLAGE CHOIR: Meeting every Wednesday in school term-time from 7-9pm at The Trinity Centre, located adjacent to Holy Trinity Church, Sough Hall Avenue, Thorpe Hesley, Rotherham. Adults of all ages welcome.

 

THORPE HESLEY AND SCHOLES VILLAGE SHOW: The fifth show at Trinity Community Centre on September 19 was a success. Over 450 people attended. The show was opened by the Mayor of Rotherham Maggi Clarke. The vegetable, fruit, flower, handicrafts, cookery and children’s classes all had more entries than previous years. Cups for the best entries were presented. Many local groups and charities had stalls. The Jill Hyde Leigh School of Dance, martial arts demonstrations and Wentworth Youth Theatre entertained. New for this year was a dog show with classes including dog most like its owner. Apex Sound provided music and announcements. Some produce was donated for the Holy Trinity harvest celebrations and will be passed on to Shiloh Homeless Project in Rotherham.
