Two in court over axe robbery bid

A 30-year-old man alleged to have held up a high street store with an axe is expected to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday.

John Galloway was charged with robbery after an incident at NA Dungworth Audiovision on Laughton Road, Dinnington, last Saturday.

Galloway, also of Laughton Road, appeared before magistrates in Rotherham last Monday.

Also appearing was Phillip Galloway (27), of Manor Road in Dinnington, who is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

Both men were remanded in custody and are expected to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday
