Becky gets ready for Brit test

ROTHERHAM Olympian Rebecca Turner is getting back in the pool today to try and put the disappointment of last summer behind her.

The 20-year-old, from Wickersley, who is competing in the British Gas International Meet at the John Charles Centre for Sport in Leeds, is feeling relaxed about her chances in the women's 200m freestyle.

Turner went out in the heats in the freestyle at London 2012 and came in sixth in the 4x200m relay final and intends to turn over a new leaf in 2013.

She said: "I'm quite chilled about this tournament; it's a major meet but there's nothing to qualify for so if you mess up you just learn from your mistakes.

"It's more a test to see where I'm at and to see where my skills are at."
