Millers seek home tonic

ROTHERHAM United aim to put back-to-back defeats behind them when Tranmere Rovers visit the New York Stadium tonight (7.45pm).

Losses to Swindon Town and MK Dons have seen the Millers slip to tenth in League One.

They've also lost the last two at home, with the Swindon defeat preceded by a setback to high-flying Peterborough United.

But with things so tight near the top of the table, a good result tonight against Rovers, struggling under former Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore, could lift Steve Evans' men back into the top six.

Midfielder Rob Milsom told the Advertiser: "We fought really hard in the second half with ten men at Milton Keynes and managed to get ourselves back in the game and it was a kick in the teeth when the third goal flew in for them.

"We need to go again against Tranmere and hopefully put it right because three defeats from four (in the league) isn't good enough. It's a massive game and we have to make sure we get a result."

Michael O'Connor is suspended due to his sending-off at the weekend while Lee Frecklington also sits it out having accumulated five bookings.
