MPs to blame for floods

WITH the catastrophic floods up and down the country with people being under water now for over two months, only in the last week has the Government realised they need to do something to help these people affected.

But when other countries flood we are the first to send aid and money but we can’t help our own people, which is disgraceful

They then start to put the blame for all this on the Environmental Agency, but wait a minute isn’t the Environmental Agency a Government department?

So what they are really saying is we employ people on mega bucks to run these departments but they really don’t know what they are doing.

They also now have to admit that a lot of what was needed to prevent some of this misery blighting people’s lives was because they was following directives from Europe. Well what a surprise, let’s all do what they across the channel tells us to do and let’s all sit back and watch the country drown.

But to me the worst part of all this is that the past and present governments have given billions of pounds in overseas aid (Currently standing at £23 million per day) whilst starving our own country of vital funding to maintain our own infrastructure and prevent such things from happening here on our own doorstep.

We can all see this every day, the state of the roads — when did you last see them cleaning out the road side drains? — closing old people and children centres, the list goes on and on.

So who do our MPs really represent? Whose best interests have they at heart? From what I can see over the last few months certainly not the British people.

But of course I almost forgot they spend half their time working out their expenses so we can pay for their energy bills to keep them warm and dry in all this bad weather.
