Rotherham firm sinks £500,000 into new machine

ROTHERHAM firm C Roberts Steel says it is bucking the economic trend after investing £500,000 in a new machine.

Branch director Tom Barrett said the installation of the Bystronic Plate Laser cutting machine is a further boost to the business, based on the Eastwood Trading Estate, which has seen employment rise at the firm over the last year to more than 100 staff.

Mr Barrett said: “By continuing to invest in the latest technology C.Roberts Steel has the opportunity to maintain its position as the region's leading steel stockist and distributor.

“However, its the hard work of all the staff who go the extra mile for our customers which has always set us apart".
