Builders chip in to help Bluebell Wood

Seven companies helped to add the separate access to allow privacy outside the second end-of-life room at the children’s hospice.

The free help was provided by Cemex UK, Tarmacadam, J Cooper & Sons, Burdens, J C Balls & Sons, Robert Wall, Murphys Plant Hire.

They loaned machinery and labour as well as supplying concrete, Tarmac, soil and other materials.

Volunteer co-ordinator Sandra Hind estimated the project would have cost the charity between £5,000 and £10,000.

She said: “We would like to say a huge thank you. The workers were great and we really appreciated the support.”

The Primrose suite was paid for thanks to an Advertiser campaign earlier this year.
