Millers seek cup tonic

ROTHERHAM United face up to Fleetwood Town in cup combat once more tonight.

The two meet at the New York Stadium in the first round of the Capital Cup, their first meeting since the Lancashire side put the Millers out of the JP Trophy last season. Fleetwood won that one 2-1 at the Highbury Stadium.

Promoted Fleetwood started their League One campaign by beating Crewe on Saturday while Rotherham, who lost their Championship opener at Derby, need a good result to take into this weekend's home date with Wolves.

Manager Steve Evans said: "We''ll take a full-on approach because the Capital One Cup is a competition we respect and want to do well in.

"Fleetwood have a chairman who puts his wallet where his mouth is and they'll be a good test for us."

Kick-off is 7.45pm.
