Police arrest pair after stand-off
The pair, aged 33 and 38, were held on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Police had earlier been called to a food store in Conisbrough, where it was reported that two men were making threats, causing damage and one was carrying a gun.

Hide AdThey were reported to have left the store and the officers’ search led them to a property on Poplar Grove.
A police spokesman said: “One man was arrested immediately and a second was negotiated out of the property after engaging with officers at the scene.
“Poplar Grove was cordoned off at both ends while the negotiations were under way. Both men remain in police custody.”
