Witness appeal for bus stop attack

The pair, both 44, were reportedly attacked opposite the Little Mester pub on Nursery Road, North Anston.

It is thought they were punched in the face by a man described as mid 30s, 5ft 10ins tall with short, dark hair and broad shoulders.

He was clean shaven and wearing dark jeans and a two-tone sweated. Police think he was with a woman of slight build with blonde hair wearing a dark dress.

Both victims were taken to hospital, one with serious injuries.
