Man held after woman found dead

DETECTIVES have launched a murder investigation after a 35-year-old woman was found dead in Darfield.

Police were called to an Upperwood Road address shortly after 4.20pm yesterday.

An injured 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.

He is being treated for stab wounds and remains in hospital, where his condition is described as stable.
