Promising dancer needs help to make her dream come true

A PROMISING dancer is hoping to drum up public support to help fund her dream of attending a prestigious theatre school.

Shauna Hall (16) of Darfield recently auditioned for Laine Theatre Arts College, Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, Performers College and Bird College and won a place at all four schools.

But with no funding available for training, Shauna and her family must now raise enough money for the £16,512 per year college fees to allow the teenager to live her dream.

Shauna’s mum Jackie said: “Shauna has dedicated her whole life to dance and performing arts and has given up so much over the years.

“To be accepted into these colleges is a dream come true and we are all so proud of her achievement.

“Unfortunately there is no funding available and we are trying to raise as much as possible so her dreams will not be shattered.”

Shauna, who recently her GCSE’s at Barnsley’s Horizon Community College, has been dancing since the age of two at the Kathryn Downs Academy of Dance in Hoyland.
