Question over bowling club pavilion

AS a bowler and ex inhabitant of Monkwood I read your article about the plight of the Vets Social Club at Rosehill Park Bowling Green with interest.

My great-uncle Harrold (the tall guy at the back in the middle of the bottom picture) was a keen bowler and spent many pleasant years in Rosehill Park.

My question is why would Maltby UDC present a pavilion to a Rawmarsh Veterans Social Club?
